Google is gearing up to launch its second cloud region in India, demonstrating its commitment to investing in technology infrastructure for the advancement of Indian organizations towards a digital-first future. The official inauguration of the Google Cloud region in Delhi NCR is scheduled for Thursday.
The event will witness the participation of notable figures, including Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, Google India VP Sanjay Gupta, TCS MD & CEO Rajesh Gopinathan, SAP CEO Christian Klein, HDFC Bank CIO and Group Head of IT Ramesh Lakshminarayanan, Mahindra Group EVP & Group CTO Mohit Kapoor, and InMobi Co-Founder & Group CTO Mohit Saxena, among others.
In a statement, Google Cloud expressed its readiness to collaborate with local developers, entrepreneurs, and enterprises through the launch of the Delhi NCR region. The new cloud region is designed to provide enterprise-grade services with low latency, high availability, in-country disaster recovery, transparency, privacy, and data residency. It promises data control, a trusted and scalable zero-trust architecture, and a commitment to sustainability.
